AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ is pleased to welcome Susan Ahern as Vice President of Innovation, a new systemwide role responsible for planning and development of the AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Innovation Center.

Ahern is a respected innovation strategist and diplomatic collaborator from the Boston area, bringing years of progressive entrepreneurial experience to her role. She most recently led a first-in-the-nation statewide program to connect academic and scientific innovators from the 34 Commonwealth of Massachusetts� research institutes as the Director of the Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center. At the Consulate General of Canada in Boston, Ahern led Canada’s first-in-the-nation international accelerator, awarded #1 in the world by the International Business Innovation Association. Her entrepreneurs were featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur, Time, and the Associated Press. As Trade Commissioner, she executed Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Entrepreneurial Boston Roundtable in 2018.

Ahern’s successful career as an entrepreneur speaks to her visionary, hands-on approach to innovation. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Colby College.
