NORTH CONWAY, New Hampshire鈥Bradley J. Chapman, an experienced community hospital leader from Pennsylvania, has been selected as the next president of Memorial Hospital in North Conway, NH.

Bradley J. Chapman, FACHE

Chapman most recently served as a hospital executive in Pennsylvania where, over the past six years, he has held several senior administrative positions in the Penn Highlands Healthcare system, including president of Penn Highlands Clearfield, a 40-bed acute care hospital, and Penn Highlands Elk, which, like Memorial Hospital, is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. Prior to that, he spent five years in executive roles of increasing responsibility at hospitals in New York state, and he began his career in New York as an accountant and auditor.

Chapman holds a master鈥檚 degree in business administration and bachelor鈥檚 degree in in accounting, both from Niagara University, Lewiston, N.Y. Additionally, he holds a certificate in Healthcare Leadership from Le Moyne College, in Syracuse, N.Y., and he is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).

Memorial Board of Trustees Chair Michelle O鈥橠onnell said the Memorial Hospital Search Committee was especially excited by Chapman鈥檚 varied experience in community hospitals and in integrated hospitals systems.

鈥淏radley has served individual hospitals and in systems where he helped connect patient care, services, and operations across several hospitals. At all levels he has put patient care and people as his highest priorities,鈥 she said.

In addition, she said, 鈥淗e and his wife, Jane, are originally from upstate New York. They have an understanding and an appreciation for rural life in the Mt. Washington Valley.鈥

O鈥橠onnell said the Search Committee was fortunate to have been led by Jackson Police Chief Christopher Perley, vice chair of the Memorial Board.

鈥淗e successfully guided the committee 鈥 consisting of Memorial trustees, Med Staff, Senior Leaders and leaders from AOA体育平台 鈥 along with external interviewers including former Memorial trustees, providers, staff and Valley community members. They all did a spectacular job!鈥 she said.

Chapman says he is excited to join Memorial and build on recent success that continue to provide excellent care for patients, residents and the communities Memorial serves.

鈥淚t is an exciting time to be a part of Memorial and AOA体育平台 as we implement the system鈥檚 five-year strategic plan," said Chapman. "I look forward to working with the Memorial Board of Trustees, Medical Staff, and all the full Care Team employees to achieve our shared vision of working together so our communities are the healthiest in America.鈥

Chapman was the unanimous choice of the search committee and was unanimously approved by the Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees Executive Committee. The AOA体育平台 Board of Trustees Executive Committee voted similarly.

Chapman, who will begin as Memorial鈥檚 president on Jan. 2, said he sees the hospital as well positioned to meet the needs of the community in the years ahead.

鈥淭he Mount Washington Valley is blessed to have a hospital with such a skilled and dedicated team behind it, and Memorial鈥檚 association with AOA体育平台 provides resources and expertise vital at a time when delivering care in rural settings can be challenging," said Chapman.
