As a hospital medicine physician, I work as part of the inpatient care team to provide coordinated, compassionate care to patients who are facing the challenges of being in the hospital for the treatment of complex medical illnesses. Since things can move pretty fast in the hospital, one of my top priorities is making sure that we are communicating well 鈥� listening, understanding and sharing the information that patients and their families need in order to make the best decisions about their health.
