I believe that the doctor patient relationship should be a true partnership in order to be successful. The doctor needs to not only listen to the patient’s concern but to truly understand them. The patient needs to hear the doctor’s advice and to be honest if they are not able or willing to follow that advice, then to communicate why to the doctor. This results in a strong relationship that will make all the health challenges faced much easier.
