As an internist practicing hospital medicine, I care for patients during what can sometimes be the worst days of their lives while they are ill in the hospital. I very much enjoy the work of helping patients however I equally enjoy the time that working in the hospital affords me to meet with patients and their families to explain their illness and work together to develop the best course of action. I was happy to be able to move back to my home state of Maine and practice medicine where I grew up.
