Those seeking a vaccination will be able to schedule an appointment at the time they register online, and some locations plan to offer a walk-in option as well.

AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Care at Home has begun the process of distributing the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible homebound patients receiving services with the agency, becoming one of the first organizations in the state to offer this accommodation for home health patients.

On Friday, U.S. Senator Susan Collins visited AOAÌåÓýƽ̨’s high-volume vaccination clinic at Scarborough Downs for a tour of the facility led by AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ CEO Bill Caron. The tour was joined by WEX CEO Melissa Smith, whose company helped provide volunteers for the clinic.

The visit highlights the efficiency and collaboration that has led to the success of AOAÌåÓýƽ̨’s high-volume vaccination clinics.

The state’s largest integrated health system voiced its support for opening up vaccine eligibility to those 60 and over and will begin setting vaccination appointments for those who are newly eligible.

Polly will help set the course for AOAÌåÓýƽ̨’s journey to a more inclusive and equitable culture.

The 30,000-square foot clinic will have the capacity to vaccinate up to 2,000 people a day, thanks to the contributions of community partners, led by Scarborough-based Crossroads Holdings

Andrew T. Mueller, MD, began his career practicing family medicine before embarking on his career as an executive overseeing health care systems in North Carolina and Virginia.

Crossroad Holdings will donate the facility to AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ so it can be transformed into a clinic providing vaccinations to residents in Cumberland County and northern York County.

Vaccinations for Maine residents 70 and older will begin in earnest today in Farmington and Brunswick with other AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ locations getting under way over the course of the next week.
