For many patients suffering with chronic pain, narcotics are a common choice to manage their pain. Helping patients better manage pain without turning to narcotics is the goal of the interventional pain clinic at Memorial Hospital.

February was a flurry of outdoor activity for our local schools who participated in the WinterGames sponsored by the Memorial Hospital Let’s Go! program.

Dr. Williams took the helm of Memorial’s Emergency Department in November. He coordinates the activities of numerous professionals including physicians, advance practice providers, nurses, and other health care workers.

Noelle Palmstrom joins an orthopedic team diagnosing and treating patients with a variety of musculoskeletal injuries including joint replacement, broken limbs, and major and minor sprains.

With news about coronavirus, relief packages and vaccines dominating daily conversations, issues such as the opioid epidemic were moved to the background. Also fading from view are the many programs and services that continue to address these health challenges.

Settlers Crossing has provided funding for the purchase of a large tent structure which has been set up adjacent to the Hospital’s Emergency Department entrance to shelter staff and patients from the elements during testing.

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services has notified Memorial Hospital that additional COVID-19 vaccine doses will be sent to the hospital each week and scheduled using the 211 state vaccine call center.

New Hampshire residents began registering for COVID-19 vaccinations in Phase 1B last Friday morning. While some residents were able to navigate through the process, it did pose a challenge for others.
