AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Pen Bay Hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Hospital Accreditation. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.

The five-year study, funded by a $20.7 million grant from the National Institutes of Health and led by Tufts University School of Medicine, aims to identify the root cause of persistent Lyme disease symptoms.

In the fight against the disease, AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ Pen Bay Hospital (MHPBH) recently installed a new, state-of-the-art mammography machine in its Radiology department in September and, with it, became the first hospital in Maine to begin using new Genius AI Detection (GAID) 2.0 software in scans.

The new partnership allows members of CarePartners to continue to access comprehensive low-cost health care through AOAÌåÓýƽ̨’s network of providers, hospitals, case management and prescription assistance.

The subsidiary of AOAÌåÓýƽ̨ will transfer residents and staff to Fallbrook Commons, a replacement facility that will preserve post-acute care access in Portland.
