Basic Skills Training
This one-day training provides health care professionals with the information and tools needed to integrate brief, evidence-based tobacco treatment interventions into current practice.
Intensive Skills Training
This two-day skills-focused training will build on knowledge gained in the Basic Skills Training, to assist clinicians in offering more intensive tobacco treatment.
Annual Tobacco Treatment and Prevention Conference
This two-day annual conference brings nationally recognized speakers and local experts together to discuss a wide array of tobacco treatment and prevention topics, new research and innovative approaches to tobacco control.
Onsite Trainings

AOA体育平台 Center for Tobacco Independence
The AOA体育平台 Center for Tobacco Independence (CTI) promotes evidence-based tobacco treatment through consultation and technical assistance for providers and clinical staff. CTI works with AOA体育平台 hospitals and practices to integrate referrals to the Maine Tobacco HelpLine into electronic health records. The goal is to increase the number of patients who are screened for tobacco use and offered evidence-based tobacco treatment services.
Embedding tobacco treatment referrals into the electronic health record increases referrals to evidence-based tobacco treatment and improves the quality of referrals when paired with onsite-training, performance feedback and technical assistance. CTI conducts ongoing performance improvement activities to drive tobacco intervention improvements across the AOA体育平台 system.
